Painting in the Park with Joy

Artist Joy incorporated her painting practice into her wedding portraits, creating truly unique images. We set up her easel in the park, capturing her both creating art and being part of the artistic composition. The resulting images have a layered, meta-quality - photographs of a painter painting her wedding, with the landscape becoming both subject and background.

Special techniques included using prism filters to create organic light flares that echoed her brushstrokes, and composing frames where her canvas aligned perfectly with the background vista. The most magical moment came when she spontaneously painted with her bouquet, creating abstract floral impressions we then photographed.
