Painting in the Park with Joy

Joy's wedding portraits became an artistic collaboration as she painted during the session and we photographed the creative process. The resulting images tell a layered story - the artist at work, the bride in her finery, and the interplay between the two. We used her palette as a compositional element, with vibrant paint colors echoing floral arrangements and sunset hues.

Special techniques included focus stacking for extreme close-ups of brushwork, intentional motion blur to convey creative energy, and framing shots through wet canvases for distorted, dreamlike effects. The most challenging image - capturing a paint stroke mid-air while maintaining perfect focus on Joy's expression - required precise timing and lighting coordination.
