Spring Central Park with Allison

Timing Allison's maternity session with peak cherry blossom bloom required careful planning and weather monitoring. The fleeting nature of the blossoms became a beautiful metaphor for her pregnancy. We incorporated both classic portraiture under flowering boughs and creative interpretations, like the ethereal image of petals falling around her silhouette.

Technical considerations included managing crowds of tourists (early mornings and strategic angles), dealing with reflective light from the blossoms (custom white balance settings), and creating separation between subject and busy backgrounds (fast lenses and careful positioning). The resulting images have a dreamlike quality that perfectly captures this transitional moment.
